What Riders Are Saying
★★★★★

Had Road 5 GTs on my FJR for years. The 6 GT is a noticeable step up — especially in the wet. Same confidence, better grip, and front tire is lasting longer than any previous set.

My K1600GT came with Road 6 GTs from the dealer. After 12,000 miles they're just starting to show wear. Incredible stability two-up on interstate runs at pace.

Took my Concours 14 on a 3,000-mile loop through Oregon and the coast in mixed weather. These tires were the one thing I never had to think about.

Frequently Asked
What's the difference between Road 6 and Road 6 GT?

Same compound and wet-grip technology — the GT adds a reinforced carcass designed for heavier bikes, two-up riding, and higher sustained loads. If your bike is under ~500 lbs and you ride solo, the standard Road 6 is the better choice. If your bike exceeds 550 lbs, you regularly carry a passenger, or you fit a K1600/FJR/Concours — the GT is correct.

What does the load/speed rating mean? (58W, 73W, 75W)

The number is the Load Index — max weight the tire supports at rated pressure. The letter is the Speed Rating. The SKU panel above shows the exact values for the selected size.

Speed · W = up to 168 mph
58 = 574 lbs (front)
73 = 805 lbs (rear)
75 = 853 lbs (rear)
What does MTC's installation include?

Balance (per tire)$9.95
Disposal (per tire)$3.50
Per tire total$82.45

Walk-in, no appointment needed. Front + rear same day: 60–90 min.

Should I buy front and rear from the same model?

Yes — strongly recommended. The Road 6 GT front and rear are designed to work as a matched pair. Using the standard Road 6 front with a GT rear (or mixing brands) can create handling imbalance under load.
